This single-variety wine has been awarded "Best in Class-Vino de la Tierra de Castilla" at the London International Wine & Spirit Competition
This competition is without any doubt the most prestigious of its kind in the world. Its peculiar judging system includes strict procedures in order to ensure the awarded wines and spirits are the most outstanding in the world. At least among the entries to the contest.
The selection process involves not only blind tasting of the samples, but also a detailed chemical and microbiological analysis. The main purpose is to identify the not uncommon "Contest Wines", almost tailor-made for competitions.
After tasting sessions, wines scored between 90 – 100 are awarded a Gold Medal. Scores between 80 and 89.9 deserve a Silver Medal. And wines with 75 – 79.9 points are granted a Bronze Medal.
The "Best in Class" are the wines with the highest score in their respective categories. "Baldor Tradición Syrah 2003" is "Best in Class" in the category "Vino de la Tierra de Castilla", adding this prestigious distinction to an already notorious list of awards.

Colour.- Clear and clean. Intense ripe plum colour.
Nose.- Delicate aromas with hints of licorice, leather and tobacco. Very expressive.
Mouth.- Good natural acidity with hints of ripe red fruits and licorice. Pleasant and persistent finish.
