New image for Bodegas Castiblanque’s new vintages

Baldor and Ilex lines present their new labels for their most recent vintages

Bodegas Castiblanque’s award-winning wines have not only experienced success in established markets such as Spain and Continental Europe, but also expanding in new markets such as North America, UK and Russia.

Baldor and Ilex lines have been redesigned. The labels have new fresh colours that clearly identify the different wines within each line. The identity of the winery remains intact with an altogether more elegant and clean style.

In the Baldor line (‘Syrah 2004’, ‘Cabernet Sauvignon 2004’ and ‘Tempranillo 2004’) the image has been stylised and the design reduced to a more square format —for a more classic style— and a new wine has been added: ‘Chardonnay 2006’. The result is a coherent and complete range of big and expressive single varietal wines.

In the Ilex line (‘Rosado 2006’, ‘Airén 2006’ y ‘Macabeo 2006’), the inspiration comes from the label of the highly awarded Rosado. The line has been touched up and completely redressed with vine topics and a different range of colours. Ilex Tinto has been added to the line to fulfill the needs of the evolving international market.

BALDOR LINE

Baldor Syrah 2004
100% Syrah
This wine has been carefully selected and aged for 6 months in new French oak to extract all of its complexity: delicate aromas of liquorice and balsamic toasted notes with a touch of cocoa and coffee. Explosion of red fruits in the mouth.

Baldor Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Elegant and opulent, due to a careful selection of grapes and 10 months in French oak. Beautiful dark ruby colour with aromas of dried fruits and spices. Pleasant in the mouth with well balanced tannins.

Baldor Tempranillo 2004
100% Tempranillo
This is the fruit of our Tempranillo carefully selected and aged in American oak for 9 months: vibrant, fresh and balanced releasing notes of spices, wood, coconut and moderately toasted vanilla.

Baldor Chardonnay 2006
100% Chardonnay, barrel fermented
Barrel fermented Chardonnay fruit of special conditions allowing low yields with high extraction of aromas and varietal freshness. The result is a wine very complex in the mouth with mineral aromas of toffee, white fruits and pineapple and toasted notes.


ILEX LINE

Ilex Airén 2006
100% Airén
Airén is the fruit by excellence of the Castilian fields. The wine is fresh and fruity with citric and floral notes and ready to drink.

Ilex Macabeo 2006
100% Macabeo
Young wine made of perfectly ripe Macabeo. It is fresh and balanced with notes of ripe pears and apples with floral hints and mineral nuances.

Ilex Rosado 2006
50% Tempranillo, 50% Garnacha
Delicate on the nose with good aromatic intensity of fresh and floral aromas that evoke wild and juicy strawberries.

Ilex Red 2006
50% Tempranillo, 50% Garnacha
Aromas of ripe red fruits mingling with the freshness of violets and nuts. Full and flavourful releasing youth as it goes through. Pleasant tannins with balanced acidity.
